Lunch Notes cc by shawncampbell

Go ahead and make someone’s day every day by writing a note

Sometimes encouraging words make all the difference. According to an article in Social and Personality Psychology Compass, positive feedback increases people’s confidence that they are able to pursue their goals. The best way to give that feedback when someone isn’t there is to write a note – especially if it’s unexpected. Write a note on their lunch bag, place it inside their lunch box, tuck it inside their laptop bag – somewhere you know they’ll find it later in the day. Be a positive part of their lives even when you’re not there.

Directions:

Write a short, loving or encouraging note and put it somewhere they’ll find it later in the day. Make it a happy surprise!

Recommended Frequency:

  • Every day with love.

Expected Benefits:

  • Bonding
  • Gratitude
  • Encouragement
