Have a berry smoothie for breakfast every day
Fresh fruit smoothies are low in fat, high in fiber, and contain anti-oxidants. They’ll give you energy all morning long. They’re also fast and you can drink them on the go. There are plenty of great breakfast smoothie recipes. Just try to avoid dairy, substituting rice or almond milk instead. Keep in mind that berry smoothies are not just for breakfast: they make a great mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
Our favorite smoothie recipe: In a blender, mix 1 ounce of Trader Joe’s 100% Cranberry Juice, 1/3 cup each of frozen organic raspberries, blueberries and strawberries, and filtered water to your desired thickness. Now add two tablespoons of organic Hemp or Brown Rice protein powder (we don’t recommend Soy protein due to hormone and thyroid interactions). You can add a pinch of Stevia for sweetness if you desire. Then drink up!
